See the SEER

Every air conditioner and heat pump on the market has a SEER rating. Don’t know what SEER means? Don’t worry, we’ll tell you.

SEER stands for: Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio.

Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio reflects how efficiently an air conditioner or heat pump can operate over, roughly, a season of use. The higher the SEER rating, the better the system. The United States government currently requires new residential air conditioners be at least 14 SEER rated. That’s the minimum you’re going to find on the market.

All MrCool ductless mini-split heat pumps are more enhanced than the government minimum, as we made sure all our units were at least 16 SEER rated. Our premium unit goes above and beyond, almost doubling the minimum standard with a 27 SEER rating.

So next time you’re browsing the MrCool website for your next heating and cooling system, see the SEER, and your home will feel the efficiency. You won’t regret it.
